There's endless possibilities

The moment we leave the womb

Endless possibilities

But we're never satisfied

It's who we are

It's human nature

Learning to live

Learning to breathe

Learning to be all we wanted to be

And we wonder if there is a reason

 

If we're open... to all that life has

Leaping in faith as we drop the mask

Open, content in our skin

Hoping for Heaven and living in sin

Hoping we've only begun

To see the truth in whatever will come

Open, with heart on the sleeve

There's no use fighting biology

 

Just like a refugee

We take what we're given

Then we burn it in effigy

When we can't eat the fruit that's forbidden

It's who we are

Human nature

Learning to give

Learning to try

Without any wings

Yet we're yearning to fly

Just beginning to understand
